A magnificent trip that combines the majesty of the White mountains along with the scent and natural beauty of the 'Orange Valley'. We travel east through Platanias and Ag. Marina heading for upper Stalos with breathtaking views of the Aegean sea and the valley of the 'oranges'. We start our descending through little winding roads finally reaching the small village of Furnes where we have our first stop at the local church with its magnificent twin bell towers.On our final approach through the picturesque country side and the exciting small ravines at the foot of the White Mountains, we finally reach Meskla village suitable by the original youthful springs of Keritis river. Enjoying the shade,fully provided to us by the old maple trees 500 yr old we see to two magnificent Byzantine churches built in the 5h century and visit the beautiful decorated chirch dedicated to Virgin Mary,full off frescoes and old icons.
